La Chooma, Alon Carmelly's Tribal Latin Band, plays uncompromising Afro-Latin grooves while blending sounds from the realms of psychedelia, deep jungles, and the North African desert. Gentle melodies, warm synthesizers, and a comforting desert vibe create a colorful and unique sound that effortlessly gets you dancing away.
Preparing for their debut album named "Local Spirits" with the London-based label Batov Records in the fall of 2025. Alon Carmelly, formerly the double bass player for 'The Apples,' leads their live performances with organic energy and authenticity, reflecting a journey of creative evolution from a trio to a dynamic six-member ensemble.
